Mayan Statue Deco Lamp

img 1709 486x1024 Mayan Statue Deco LampI’ve not run across one of these Deco Itzamatul Mayan figural lamps before. Itzamatul is an area of ruins in Izamal, Mexico, which was an important Pre-Columbian Mayan civilization. There is a depiction of a king or some sort of leadership figure in a seated, cross-legged position. The base below him reads, “Itzamatul”. The lamp is 15″ high. The shade has clear and pink/red striations. The alabaster-style base is an artificial bakelite-like material. The shade is suspended by an arm that has a ball/socket that can be moved in any direction. I am currently selling this lamp on Ebay, or if you happen upon this lamp some time later, you can inquire if it is still available.
