Excellent lamp that appears to be potentially a bronze with a Millefiori globe. This lamp is on page 2 of the “Popular Art Deco Lighting” book by Millman and Dwyer as well as further on in the book. I believe that this particular specimen is actually more beautiful than the one depicted in the book, which values the lamp in the $995-$1,350 range. More images and bidding details at the listing.

I have an art deco lamp (bronze) of a semi-reclining lady holding a lamp. Can you tell me if there is a market for this?

I have a lamp which I suspect might have been made in the same region as your lamp shown here, that being Limousin.

The reason is that I have seen the same base as shown on my lamp but with another bust – one that matches the design and style of the lamp in this blog article.
I am wondering whether you can confirm that the skirt in my lamp is likely to be alabaster? If so, is this likely to have been an original skirt or a replacement added some time after the lamp was originally manufactured?
I have found 2 photos of lamps on the web similar to mine – one with the same bust, the other with a bust resembling the lamp in this blog article, but both of those lamps seemed to have glass skirts of a very different design.
Regards,
Chris.

Chris, not familiar enough with all the options to know with that particular lamp.

If you’re patient, they always come up, eventually, on Ebay

RE: The Meyda Tiffany lamp with the figure of a nude woman holding up a fan – on your website. My sister has an original of that lamp – not a reproduction like the ones Meyda are making. Who made it and what is it worth? It would be fun to let her know.
