I have a search that I’ve set up which I’ll call the “Hot Deco Lamps Search“. It’s a quick way to find lamps that I might be interested in purchasing without digging through hundreds of lamps, shades, parts, etc. The search finds only antique lamps with active bidding, while filtering out less-desirable low-priced items. I’ll make the search permanently available to you in the column to the right.
The search brought up this lamp and a couple of things stuck out to me. First, the Czech shade is a rarer color combination (as far as I’ve seen). I have about 10 Czech shades and none of them combine red, blue, yellow, white, and orange simultaneously. Secondly, I’ve not yet seen this configuration of the three figures before with each of the female figures grabbing the bottom of their skirts. Many of the tri-figural lamps you will see over and over again, but I’ve not yet run across this one. It is on page 12 of “Popular Art Deco Lighting” and is valued there at over $1200, probably due to the globe included on that particular light.
Bidding ends January 8th and it is currently bid up to $145. More pics at the listing.
