Although this blog’s purpose is to profile Art Deco lamps, I’m particularly enamored with this Art Nouveau lamp with it’s original millefiori shade. The woman is semi-nude holding a harp and is 16″ tall and 7″ wide. Bidding ends on July 30th so this is a 10 day auction. More details available here.

Hello, Nice lamp.My wife collects minature oil lamps. She has acquired a couple of Millefiorri lamps and I was wondering if anyone is reproducing this type of glass. I have tried doing searches but I cannot find anything. Any thoughts and thank you for your time, Brad C Lago Washington State

Brad, the millifiore glass is still being produced in Italy. It is made in Venice, on the island of Murano. Do a search on ‘murano millifiore’ and you should find plenty of examples. You can order directly from some forges in Murano, and there are probably many importers in the states.
