Here’s a signed Frankart lamp with Czechoslovakian multi-colored shade up for sale on Ebay. Pricing is starting at $95 and bidding ends May 6th. Lamp is 8″ by 8″. A Frankart signature is located on the base of the lamp near the figure’s feet. More pictures and details can be seen here.

This lamp by far is one of the ugliest Frankart lamps ever made–and that is if it really is a Frankart lamp given its crude casting and use of other lamp parts. A look-up of the design patent number indicates it’s an L229 base–so the company (or someone else) may have decided just to combine some surplus L229 bases with L206 figures. Seems like it was a desperate design measure!
